What’s up with Courtney Stodden?
Courtney Stodden is in the news lately for marrying 51-year-old Lost actor Doug Hutchison. Stodden, an aspiring singer, is 16 years old.
It’s been ages since I’ve purchased a copy of Playboy. Every once in awhile I’m tempted, however, especially this month – a Steve Buscemi interview, articles on porn company Vivid and on Sarah Palin (the two aren’t connected, I don’t think), and a cover/photo spread featuring UK model Daisy Lowe, the 22-year-old daughter of Bush singer Gavin Rossdale.

What a waste! As good as Rise of the Planet of the Apes is, the summer blockbuster does nothing with the character played by Freida Pinto. I can’t even remember what she is in the movie – a doctor, a vet, a neurophysicist? Who the hell can remember?
Anyway, the Bollywood actress has previously been seen in Slumdog Millionaire. Her next big movie will be this fall’s Immortals.

Spotlight: Olivia Wilde
Cowboys & Aliens hits movie theatres today, and if critical response is anything to go by, the new movie is a bit of a snoozefest.
Based on a graphic novel, it stars Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford as two cowpokes who band together to take on a swarm of aliens. Olivia Wilde plays the girl, or “the twist” in pulp fiction terms.
Olivia’s beautiful, but we already have a Natalie Portman. And Wilde’s next few movies look pretty bad, especially The Change-Up and In Time. Will she escape Comic Book Movie Jail?
